FROM THE BENCH, PRESENT IN THE EMPLOYMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP EVENTS HELD OF ALICANTE.
On May 14th, the HR manager, Pablo Alonso, and COO, Victoria Millán, both of From The Bench, attended an event put together for companies searching for talent in the city of Elche.
It was the very event and it was held in the Employment and Talent forum of Elche, with the goal of turning itself into a meeting point for first level companies and participants.
Throughout the day they held various workshops and conferences, both focusing on the contact between companies as well as improvement and development of the participants’ abilities in in their search for employment.
Along with the other companies such as, “Oh my cut!”, “Hawkers” and “Clave i”, From The Bench explained how it can be possible to start from small office in Elda to being able to reach and agreement with the NBA. They also talked about the start of the company as well as their first projects, highlighting the key elements that helped lead From The Bench to develop one of the most successful applications for the best basketball league in the world.
Another one of our own, our CMO, Davíd Cremades, traveled to Alicante to form part of “Emprendo 2015 [Entrepreneur 2015]”, an event that took place on the 15th and 16th of May. There, many young entrepreneurs from the Valencian Community met together to encourage professional relationships among the participating companies.
From The Bench showed that, with ambition and perseverance, they were able to sign contracts with more than forty professional soccer clubs from around the world, as well as with the NBA, urging new entrepreneurs to never stop fighting for their project until it has come true.
They also gave their point of view, alongside the members of “Bee Social” and “Mundo Alfombra”, in an interview about the state of ecommerce, pointing out their strengths and weaknesses.
One of the most highlighted expositions in “Emprendo 2015” was that of Jesús Navarro, from the Carmencita group of Novelda, where they mentioned comments such as “You shouldn’t be afraid of failure”, “You need to search for the luck” or “If it’s worth it, do it. If not… don’t do it”, following the same line of ambition and perseverance towards the new entrepreneurs recommended by From The Bench.
